BLENDED TRAININGS 

Structured Programs: Structured training represents a systematic approach to training to prepare an employee for career advancement. It can involve professional development, continuing education, hands-on and on-the-job training. Input was solicited from section heads, district administrators, and field personnel and all programs were reviewed and approved by the department heads. The programs are as equitable as possible between sections and divisions.


LEARNING IN SMALL GROUPS

Maximizing Learning in Small Groups: Research shows that small groups maximize learning. Small groups are most effective when members have clearly defined roles and tasks. This helps make members responsible for learning.

  1. Encouraging members to participate actively in learning.
  2. The smaller the group, the more opportunity each individual has to participate actively and contribute ideas and opinions.
  3. Fostering teamwork among members, consequently encouraging trust and cooperation.
  4. This will likely result in members feeling more comfortable working together in the future.
  5. Covering different material simultaneously, then reporting back to the larger group to cover more overall ground in training.
  6. Tapping into the collective knowledge and experience of members.

This section contains some of the more frequently asked questions on registering for a Corporate Strategies International training course.


I want to enroll in a course, how do I do that?

Register your interest with Corporate Strategies International. You can do this in three ways:
  • Complete the registration form  [Last Page of the training agenda] and This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Call +65-6220 3424 for information.
  • Complete the registration form and fax it to +65-6368 6893

 

Once you have submitted the registration form, your registration is processed. If there are vacancies in the course, you will receive a Confirmation Email.

If the course is fully booked, you will receive an email advising that you have been put on the Waiting List for the course.

I have been told the course is full, what happens now?
If a course is fully booked, your name will be added to the Waiting List. If cancellations occur, you may be contacted and advised that a place has become available. If you are available to attend the course, you will be sent a Confirmation Email.

If you are on the Waiting List, there is no guarantee that you will get a place on the course. However, it enables Corporate Strategies International to keep your records in case of cancellations.

I enrolled on a course and now I cannot attend, what do I do?

If you have enrolled in a course, and you realize that you are no longer able to attend that session, it is essential that you let us know as soon as possible. You can nominate one of your colleague.

I registered in a course and I have not received a Confirmation Email, what does that mean? If you have registered to attend a course, you should receive a Confirmation Email within 3 business days. If you have not received this, it could be for two reasons:

  1. The course you have registered to attend is already fully booked. In this case, you will be sent an email advising that you have been put on the Waiting List.

  2. The registration form has not been received. If you do not receive an email from Corporate Strategies International within 3 business days of registering, please contact us to confirm that your form was received.

Once I have registered and received my Confirmation Email, what happens next?

  • Remember to write the training date and time into your diary. Three days before the session, you will also be sent a Reminder Email from Corporate Strategies International.
  • The course that I would like to attend has already been held. I would like to express my interest in this course for the future, how do I do that?
  • If you are interested in a course that is not being held, we would love to hear from you. To express your interest, please complete the training suggestion form.
  • You then need to tell us which course you are interested in attending. Corporate Strategies International will collect this information and use it to assist in scheduling future sessions. Once we have enough interest in a session, we will endeavor to run that course for you. Please note that we cannot guarantee that the course you are interested in will be held.

Glossary

Waiting List – Once the course is fully booked, you will be put on the waiting list. If someone cancels from the course, the first person on the waiting list will be called immediately, advised that there is a free spot and asked if they would still like to attend. Once they confirm their attendance, they will be sent a Confirmation Email. If you are put on the waiting list, we cannot guarantee that you will receive a place in the course.

 

Confirmation Email – Once we have received your registration and we are able to accept you into the course, you will be sent a Confirmation Email. This email gives you important information on the course, and also confirms that you have been accepted into the course. The email will include:

•    Date
•    Time

•    Location
•    Directions and Map
•    Request you to advise of dietary requirements

Reminder Email – This email is sent 3 days before the session to all those registered in the course and will give you important information on the course and remind you that you need to attend. It includes:
•    Date
•    Time
•    Location
•    Directions and Map

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS : REGISTRATION/PARTICIPATION:

1. Q: What is the cost of attending a training?
A: Registration fee details are on the registration form [last page of the training agenda] Participants are responsible for all costs associated with participation, including lodging, transportation

2. Q: How and when will I know if my registration is confirmed?
A: Registration will be confirmed via email within 3 business days of submission.

3. Q: Is attendance at the trainings limited?
A: Yes, attendance at each training is limited and you must register 5 days prior to the training session. Registration will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis.

4. Q: What is the medium of instruction?
A: English is used from the beginning of a course as the main language in class, and the trainer adapts their methodology to support meaning, by using a lot of visual information and non-verbal communication to support meaning. All CSI trainings are conducted in English unless specified.  

5. Q: Is it possible to register on-site, at a training?
A: No. attendees must register for each training in advance. On-site registrations will not be accepted.

6. Q:  Will meals be included?  I am a vegetarian; is it possible to order a vegetarian option?
A:  Yes, lunch is included, If you need a vegetarian meal please note this on your registration form.


ACCOMMODATIONS

7. Q: Are there room blocks set aside for these meetings?
A: Accommodation is not included in the training fee. You must arrange your own accommodations. If you are unable to reserve a room at the meeting hotel please contact our staff who can provide you a list of hotel properties generally located near the meeting hotel.

 

OTHER

8. Q: Will materials be available to persons not able to attend a training?
A: If you don't attend the training, training materials are not issued separately.


9. Q: I need to change or substitute my registration; who can I contact?

10.Q: Will I receive a course completion Certificate?
A: Yes, provided you satisfy the course trainers exceptions and complete 16 hours of training.

 

 

TERMS CONDITIONS

Payment Terms: Full payment is required within ten (10) business days on from the invoiced date.

Discounted fees are applicable only for payments received before the due date. (Payable in 10 business days)

Cancellations / substitutions: Provided the total fee has been paid, substitutions are allowed seven (7) working days before the event. Otherwise all bookings carry a 100% cancellation liability immediately after CSI received a signed and completed registration form. By completing and signing this registration form, the delegate agrees that in case of dispute or cancellation of this contract, CSI will not be able to mitigate its losses for any less than 100% of the total contract value. If for any reason beyond its control, CSI decides to cancel or postpone the event. CSI is not responsible for covering airfare, hotel nor any other travel costs incurred by the clients. The fee will not be refunded, but can be credited to other CSI events. Accommodation is not included in the participant fee.

Copyright: All intellectual property rights in all materials produced or distributed by CSI in connection with this event is expressly reserved and any unauthorized duplication, publication or distribution is prohibited.

Important note: While every reasonable effort will be made to adhere to the advertised program, CSI reserves the right to change event dates, sites or location or alter the content and timing of the program or the speakers without penalty and in such situations no refunds shall be made. In the event that CSI  permanently cancels the event for any reason whatsoever (including, but not limited to force majeure occurrence), the client shall receive a credit note for the amount that the client has paid to such permanently canceled event, valid for up to one year to be used for any CSI  event. No refunds shall be made.

Taxes: The Client will pay for all taxes in connection with the agreement including, but not limited to, sales, use, excise, value-added, goods and services, consumption, taxes incurred on transactions between and among CSI and its affiliates, and other similar taxes or duties.  If any payment for service, product or technology provided by CSI is subject to withholding tax, the Client will reimburse CSI for that withholding tax. The Client agrees to reimburse and hold CSI harmless from any deficiency (including penalties and interest) relating to taxes that are the responsibility of the Client.

Governing law: This registration agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. However, only CSI is entitled to waive this right and submit to the jurisdiction of courts in where the client’s office is located.
